Overview

Written by Colin Dann, the novels are the first Farthing Wood material to have existed. All of the other material – the TV show and its merchandise – is based on them. Over the course of 15 years, M. Dann added many plots and characters to the Farthing Wood universe. The variety of the threats the animals have to face, as well as the variety of places and situations, result in all of the books to be entertaining, and the reader to want to read more.

Every fan has its favourite and less preferred novel, for a lot of different reasons. That's why if we have an advice to provide you with, it is to read them all if you can. The summaries are here to help you decide which one you might want to begin with. However, reading the stories in the chronological order should be preferred.
